Turn DVD VOB files into video formats that are easier to play and share.
DVD source
Select every VOB segment for a title from the same VIDEO_TS folder.

Video is processed in this browser tab and is never uploaded.
Output format
Each DVD title group becomes a separate video in this browser.
MKV copies the source without re-encoding, so this title would exceed the browser memory limit. Choose MP4, MOV or WebM to re-encode it.
The first use downloads about 31 MiB of the video engine. Supported browsers encode MP4 and MOV in parallel, using more memory. Video stays in this tab.

DVD CONVERSION GUIDE
A practical guide to converting DVD VOB files
Understand the files on a DVD, choose the title you want, and pick an output format that fits how you plan to watch it.
What is inside a VIDEO_TS folder?
A copied DVD usually contains a VIDEO_TS folder. Its IFO and BUP files describe disc navigation, while VOB files hold menu or movie audio and video. This browser converter reads VOB files only; it does not open a disc or an ISO image.
Names beginning with VTS_ identify a DVD title set. A file ending in _0.VOB commonly contains menus and is skipped. The main feature data usually starts at _1.VOB and may continue as _2.VOB, _3.VOB and later segments.
How do I find the movie or episode?
The number in VTS_01, VTS_02 and similar names identifies a title set, not a guaranteed movie name. A disc can have separate groups for the feature, episodes, trailers, alternate cuts or bonus clips. File size alone is not a reliable way to identify the main title.
The converter lists each group and creates one output per group. To convert only one title, select every numbered segment for that VTS number and leave the other groups out. If you select the full folder, review the outputs and keep the title you need.
How are split VOB segments joined?
DVD video is commonly split into numbered files to fit disc storage limits. The converter orders segments numerically within each title, so _2.VOB follows _1.VOB and _10.VOB follows _9.VOB. The _0.VOB menu segment is excluded.
Keep all segments for a title together in the same VIDEO_TS folder and do not rename them. Missing segments can create a jump or shorten the result. Do not select files from two discs or two VIDEO_TS folders in one batch.
VOB grouping and sequence illustration; the converter uses filenames and folder structure.
Which output format should I choose?
MP4 is a practical default for phones, browsers and sharing. MKV avoids re-encoding and is usually the quickest choice when you want to keep the source video and audio streams. MOV uses the same H.264 and AAC encoding profile as MP4, while WebM creates VP9 video and Opus audio.
Re-encoding can reduce or change file size and picture detail; it does not guarantee a smaller file. MKV stream copy preserves the encoded picture and sound, but playback support for DVD-era codecs varies by device.
Which output format should I choose?
MP4
H.264 + AAC; broad playback support and a useful default.
MKV
Copies the original video and audio streams without re-encoding.
MOV
H.264 + AAC in a QuickTime container.
WebM
VP9 + Opus; browser-friendly, but encoding can take longer.
What to expect from browser-based conversion
The first use downloads about 30.7 MiB of WebAssembly. After that, conversion runs in a browser worker on your device; the VOB contents are not uploaded. Keep this tab open until the output is ready, then download the video before closing it.
A browser must hold working data and the result in memory, so very large titles can exceed available memory or take a long time, especially with WebM. The converter does not preserve DVD menus, navigation, chapter behavior or subtitle tracks. For a long disc, test a short title first and make sure your browser has enough free memory.
