Change a recorded voice while keeping the performance clear
Voice effects change the character of an existing recording. Choose a preset for the intended style, then compare the changed voice with the original and make sure the words remain understandable.
Prepare a clean recording
Start with an audio or video file whose speech is already audible. Noise, clipping and overlapping speakers remain part of the source and can become more obvious after an effect. The tool processes one recording at a time in the browser; it is not a live microphone changer.
Choose a preset for the intended character
Presets cover different styles such as deeper, brighter, childlike, robotic, telephone or underwater effects. These are artistic transformations, not reliable ways to disguise identity. Listen to the demo and choose the closest starting point instead of assuming every preset suits every speaker.
Some presets combine pitch and other processing. A name such as “deep voice” describes a style, not a guarantee about how every source will sound.
Fine-tune pitch and formant separately
Pitch changes how high or low the voice sounds. Formant adjustment changes vocal resonance and perceived vocal-tract size, which can help a shift sound less like simply speeding a recording up or down. Make small changes, listen again and compare with the preset’s original setting.
Listen for clarity, level and artifacts
Check the beginning, middle and end, including quiet syllables and consonants. A stronger effect may sound more dramatic but less natural. Listen for distortion, harsh high frequencies, excessive low end, pumping or abrupt tails. Use headphones at a moderate volume and compare the same phrase before and after.
If a preset includes reverb or delay, a tail may reach the end of the audio. For video, output duration is kept aligned to the source, so effects that extend beyond the original endpoint can be cut off.
Export audio or a changed video
Audio downloads are available from the processed result. Video export depends on the source track and browser codecs; if it is unavailable, download the changed audio and replace the soundtrack in a video editor. Keep the original video so you can restore the picture or sound if needed.
Understand privacy and scope
Voice changing runs in the browser and the selected media is processed locally. This tool does not create a live voice, clone a specific person, or guarantee anonymity. A recognizable voice may remain identifiable even after pitch and formant changes.
