This policy describes how QuietTake handles selected files, service data, analytics and cookies.

Selected files

Noise removal, passage censoring, voice changing and face anonymisation are designed to process files on your device. Some tools use server assistance: dubbing extracts audio on your device and sends it to Cloudflare Workers AI for speech recognition, while audio-to-text offers two explicit modes: “On this device” downloads the pinned Whisper base model and ONNX runtime from this site and processes decoded audio in the browser; “Cloud transcription” extracts audio locally and sends temporary mono PCM audio segments and any user-provided vocabulary hints to Cloudflare Workers AI without uploading the video. Dubbing sends transcripts and neighboring context through micuapi to OpenAI, or Google as a fallback, for translation. Extracted dubbing audio and its draft transcript are also sent through micuapi to Google Gemini for audio-grounded text correction; original timestamps remain controlled by the application. Reviewed translations are sent to the MiniMax speech API for speech generation. Long sentences may be sent for a concise rewrite and regenerated to fit the original timing. Dubbing video pictures stay on your device; video export replaces the complete original soundtrack. Local draft playback uses an installed system voice. Each interface identifies its route before processing starts.

Video subtitles also extracts audio locally and sends audio segments to Cloudflare Workers AI. Transcript text and nearby caption context are sent through micuapi to OpenAI, or Google as a fallback, for translation. Video pictures stay on your device. The most recent subtitle draft (recognized text, translations, timing, edits and settings) is saved in this browser's local storage when available. It expires after seven days and is removed on the next visit, or you can remove it with “Start over” or by clearing this site's storage. To resume after refreshing, select the same video again; the draft does not store a copy of your video or audio. Video export may create a temporary file in your browser's private storage, which the tool removes when the result is replaced or the page closes. An interrupted browser session may leave temporary files until you clear this site's storage. Service providers handle submitted content under their own terms and retention policies; this feature should not be used for content you cannot share with those providers.

Video eraser processes selected frames and audio entirely in your browser. It downloads repair and text-detection models from this site and caches model files for reuse. Selected video, detected text and repair results are not uploaded to a repair server. Temporary output files use your browser's private storage and are removed when replaced or during cleanup. You can remove cached models and temporary files by clearing this site's storage.

QuietTake does not intentionally use selected media, transcripts, translations or generated results to train models. QuietTake's speech implementations process submitted content in memory without adding server storage. This does not override an upstream provider's own retention policies.

Audio-to-text and dubbing keep the latest draft (recognized text, timing, edits, language settings, selected processing mode and completed recognition sections) in this browser when local storage is available. Dubbing also caches completed generated speech clips locally so a retry does not need to regenerate them. These drafts and speech clips expire after seven days and are removed when the tool next checks them. Resetting the tool or clearing this site's storage removes them. Reselect the same source file after refreshing to resume; we do not store a copy of the original media in the draft. These local recovery features do not add server storage for transcripts or generated speech.

Long media exports can use temporary files in this browser's private storage. Abandoned output files are reclaimed on a later media operation once they are more than 24 hours old. Clearing this site's storage also removes these temporary files. Keep enough space for both the temporary result and the copy saved to your downloads.

Service data

Cloudflare hosts QuietTake and may receive network and security data such as IP address, request time, host, path, browser information and response status. We use this data to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. Cloudflare's handling is described in its privacy policy.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure traffic and tool usage. GA4 and browser error monitoring are enabled by default without a pop-up. You can disable them in “Privacy settings” in the footer without affecting tool access. Your preference is saved in this browser for up to 180 days, when storage is available. After it expires or site storage is cleared, the default applies again. GA4 may set first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, to distinguish browsers and sessions. These cookies may remain for up to two years unless blocked or deleted.

Analytics data may include pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device and browser, interactions, tool type, processing stage and outcome, selected settings, duration, output format, and coarse file type and size ranges. QuietTake's custom analytics events do not intentionally send the selected file, file name, exact file size, media content, transcript, translation or generated result.

We use this information to operate, secure, measure and improve QuietTake. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled. We do not sell analytics data or use GA4 to serve ads. Google's handling is described in its Analytics privacy and data safeguards and privacy policy.

Error and performance monitoring

While browser analytics is enabled, tools also send bounded technical diagnostic batches to QuietTake's Cloudflare Worker. These are stored in Cloudflare Workers Logs so we can investigate processing stages, progress, failures and retries, including tools that process media entirely on your device. Records may include tool and page categories, language, processing settings, timings, file and output byte counts, media dimensions, technical stack locations, and random operation or request IDs. We do not send the selected file, its name, media contents, transcripts, translations, credentials or raw responses in these diagnostic batches. Disabling browser analytics stops new diagnostic uploads; a bounded local diagnostic history remains on your device.

While browser analytics is enabled, Sentry helps us diagnose browser errors, failed tool operations, page performance and processing duration. Error reports and supported performance traces are collected at a 100% sampling rate. Server-side operational diagnostics and API failure monitoring support service reliability independently of optional browser analytics. Reports use public page categories, language, tool and stage, structured failure codes, and technical stack locations. We remove request bodies, cookies, user identifiers, URL queries and fragments, and raw error messages before sending these reports. We do not enable session replay or collect media, filenames, transcript text, translations, form contents or console logs through Sentry. Sentry may receive network information needed to deliver reports; its handling is described in its privacy policy.

Retention and sharing

GA4 is currently configured to retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months. Aggregated reports and service or security data may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or under provider settings and policies.

We may share data with providers that operate QuietTake, comply with law or legal process, enforce our terms, protect users or the service, or support a merger, financing, acquisition or transfer of the service. Google, Cloudflare and Sentry operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country.

Your choices and requests

Open “Privacy settings” in the footer to enable or disable analytics at any time. Disabling analytics stops new browser reports and removes the GA4 cookies accessible to this site; reports already sent cannot be recalled. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking GA4 does not stop local-processing tools from working.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection by contacting us. QuietTake has no user accounts, and pseudonymous analytics records may not be identifiable as yours without sufficient information.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect data, but no browser, network transmission, provider or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this page

We may update this policy as QuietTake, our providers or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
