This policy describes how QuietTake handles selected files, service data, analytics and cookies.

Selected files

Noise removal, passage censoring, voice changing and face anonymisation are designed to process files on your device. Some tools use server assistance: dubbing extracts audio on your device and sends it to an external speech-recognition service, while audio-to-text offers two explicit modes: “On this device” downloads a pinned speech-recognition model and ONNX runtime from this site and processes decoded audio in the browser; “Cloud transcription” extracts audio locally and sends temporary mono PCM audio segments and any user-provided vocabulary hints to an external speech-recognition service without uploading the video. Dubbing sends transcripts and neighboring context to external AI services for translation. Extracted dubbing audio and its draft transcript are also sent to an external AI service for audio-grounded text correction. If the primary route fails, the same audio and draft may be sent to an alternate AI service. Original timestamps remain controlled by the application. Reviewed translations are sent to an external speech service for speech generation. Long sentences may be sent for a concise rewrite and regenerated to fit the original timing. Dubbing video pictures stay on your device; video export replaces the complete original soundtrack. Local draft playback uses an installed system voice. Each interface explains which content is sent before processing starts.

Video subtitles also extracts audio locally and sends audio segments to an external speech-recognition service. Transcript text and nearby caption context are sent to external AI services for translation. Video pictures stay on your device. The most recent subtitle draft (recognized text, translations, timing, edits and settings) is saved in this browser's local storage when available. It expires after seven days and is removed on the next visit, or you can remove it with “Start over” or by clearing this site's storage. To resume after refreshing, select the same video again; the draft does not store a copy of your video or audio. Video export may create a temporary file in your browser's private storage, which the tool removes when the result is replaced or the page closes. An interrupted browser session may leave temporary files until you clear this site's storage. Service providers handle submitted content under their own terms and retention policies; this feature should not be used for content you cannot share with those providers.

Video eraser processes selected frames and audio entirely in your browser. It downloads repair and text-detection models from this site and caches model files for reuse. Selected video, detected text and repair results are not uploaded to a repair server. Temporary output files use your browser's private storage and are removed when replaced or during cleanup. You can remove cached models and temporary files by clearing this site's storage.

Image watermark removal keeps a selected image in your browser for preview. Only after you start processing, the image and any optional removal or preservation instructions are sent through QuietTake's server to an external AI image service. The generated image is returned to your browser for comparison and is not intentionally saved to QuietTake storage. The service provider's retention and processing policies apply; do not submit an image you cannot share with that provider.

Face organizer compares faces in your selected photos and sampled video frames entirely on this device. Model files are downloaded from this site and may be cached. Reference portraits, face descriptors, thumbnails, person labels, file names and local paths are not uploaded or added to analytics. Face descriptors and results stay in this page's memory and are cleared when you start over or close it. With your permission, selected original files are copied into a new output directory, or downloaded in a ZIP; originals are not moved or overwritten. These byte-for-byte copies retain any embedded metadata, including GPS information. The optional downloaded manifest contains local file paths and match statuses; it does not contain face descriptors. ZIP preparation may store a temporary copy of the selected originals in this site’s private browser storage. Failed or cancelled preparations are removed. Completed archives remain available for downloading; archives over 24 hours old are removed when you next prepare a ZIP, or by clearing this site’s storage.

Image privacy redaction reads selected images and folders on your device. Face, code and text detection, including phone/email OCR, run in a browser worker; this site serves and caches the model files. Images, detected regions, recognized text, decoded code payloads and file names are not uploaded. OCR text and code payloads are used only in the worker to locate regions and are not sent to the page or analytics. Edits stay in this page's memory. Downloads are fresh PNG copies without copied source EXIF/GPS or embedded thumbnails. Anonymous export names are enabled by default. You can download selected images in a ZIP or download individual PNG copies. Original files are not overwritten. Clearing this site's storage removes cached models.

AI photo styling keeps the selected photo in your browser until you start generation. The photo, selected art style and style strength are then sent through QuietTake’s server to an external AI image service. If that service fails or returns no usable image, the same photo and style instructions may be sent once through OpenRouter to the same image model as a fallback; QuietTake asks OpenRouter to exclude providers that collect user data. Both attempts count as one generation attempt. The result is returned to your browser and is not intentionally saved to QuietTake storage. The provider’s processing and retention policies apply. Generated artwork may change identity, text or other details. This tool has a daily limit of twenty generation attempts per public IP, resetting at 00:00 UTC. Submitted provider failures and timeouts count.

AI image enhancement also keeps a selected photo in your browser for preview. After you start, the photo is sent through QuietTake's server to an external AI image service for generative enhancement. If the primary image service has a temporary technical failure, the same photo and enhancement instructions may be sent to a Gemini image model through the image gateway as a fallback. This uses one processing attempt. The result is returned to your browser and is not intentionally saved to QuietTake storage. The generated image may change faces, text, textures or framing. The external service's processing and retention policies apply; do not submit a photo you cannot share with that provider.

A signed, strictly functional browser cookie adds a daily limit of five image-enhancement attempts per browser. It is HTTP-only and is not used for advertising or analytics. The source-IP limit described below also applies, so people sharing a public IP share an allowance even when using different browsers. Clearing this cookie does not reset the source-IP allowance.

AI mosaic repair applies an essential daily limit of twenty attempts per source IP address for this tool. People sharing the same public IP share this allowance; the counter resets at 00:00 UTC. The server hashes the source IP before storing the per-day count and does not store the raw address with the quota record. This limit is separate from analytics and uses no visitor cookie. AI mosaic repair previews images and region selections locally. When you start, the normalized image, selected rectangle coordinates and optional context are sent through QuietTake's server to WawAPI image2. If the primary model has a temporary technical failure or returns no usable image, the same image, selected rectangles and context may be sent through the gateway to Gemini Flash once as a fallback. Both model calls count as one processing attempt. Generated output is returned to this browser and composited only inside your selected rectangles. QuietTake does not intentionally store the selected image, note or generated result. The provider's own processing and retention policies apply. Processing notes and selection coordinates are not included in analytics.

QuietTake does not intentionally use selected media, transcripts, translations or generated results to train models. QuietTake's speech implementations process submitted content in memory without adding server storage. This does not override external service providers' own retention policies.

Audio-to-text and dubbing keep the latest draft (recognized text, timing, edits, language settings, selected processing mode and completed recognition sections) in this browser when local storage is available. Dubbing also caches completed generated speech clips locally so a retry does not need to regenerate them. These drafts and speech clips expire after seven days and are removed when the tool next checks them. Resetting the tool or clearing this site's storage removes them. Reselect the same source file after refreshing to resume; we do not store a copy of the original media in the draft. These local recovery features do not add server storage for transcripts or generated speech.

Long media exports can use temporary files in this browser's private storage. Abandoned output files are reclaimed on a later media operation once they are more than 24 hours old. Clearing this site's storage also removes these temporary files. Keep enough space for both the temporary result and the copy saved to your downloads.

HEIC to JPG converts selected photos locally in this browser. The decoder is downloaded from this site; your photos, filenames and converted JPG files are not uploaded for conversion. Photo previews and results stay in memory until you remove them or leave the page. Downloaded copies remain on your device. The conversion does not retain the original photo's EXIF metadata, including GPS location. Choosing a separate online image tool is a new action governed by that tool's processing notice.

Service data

Cloud transcription, subtitle translation, dubbing, image watermark removal, image enhancement and mosaic repair each allow up to twenty server processing tasks per source IP address per UTC day. People sharing the same public IP share that tool's allowance. The server stores per-day counts under a hash of the tool and source IP; the quota record does not store the raw IP address or media. The count resets at 00:00 UTC. Local-only processing, previews and downloads do not use this allowance. Transcription, subtitles and dubbing use random task tickets, valid for up to 24 hours, so the segments and retries within one admitted task do not count as new tasks. Tickets are stored with local recovery drafts and are excluded from analytics and diagnostic reports.

Infrastructure providers host QuietTake and may receive network and security data such as IP address, request time, host, path, browser information and response status. We use this data to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. Their own privacy and data-processing policies apply.

Analytics and cookies

We use an analytics service to measure traffic and tool usage. Analytics and browser error monitoring are enabled by default without a pop-up. You can disable them in “Privacy settings” in the footer without affecting tool access. Your preference is saved in this browser for up to 180 days, when storage is available. After it expires or site storage is cleared, the default applies again. Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. These cookies may remain for up to two years unless blocked or deleted.

Analytics data may include pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, device and browser, interactions, tool type, processing stage and outcome, selected settings, duration, output format, and coarse file type and size ranges. QuietTake's custom analytics events do not intentionally send the selected file, file name, exact file size, media content, transcript, translation or generated result.

We use this information to operate, secure, measure and improve QuietTake. Personalised-advertising signals are disabled. We do not sell analytics data or use it to serve ads. The analytics provider's own privacy and data-processing policies apply.

Error and performance monitoring

While browser analytics is enabled, tools also send bounded technical diagnostic batches to QuietTake's API. These are stored in service logs so we can investigate processing stages, progress, failures and retries, including tools that process media entirely on your device. Records may include tool and page categories, language, processing settings, timings, file and output byte counts, media dimensions, media codec and browser media error categories, graphics adapter vendor and architecture categories, technical stack locations, and random operation or request IDs. We do not send the selected file, its name, media contents, transcripts, translations, credentials or raw responses in these diagnostic batches. Disabling browser analytics stops new diagnostic uploads; a bounded local diagnostic history remains on your device.

While browser analytics is enabled, an error and performance monitoring service helps us diagnose browser errors, failed tool operations, page performance and processing duration. Error reports and supported performance traces are collected at a 100% sampling rate. Server-side operational diagnostics and API failure monitoring support service reliability independently of optional browser analytics. Reports use public page categories, language, tool and stage, structured failure codes, the technical categories described above, browser and operating system names with major versions, and technical stack locations. We remove request bodies, cookies, user identifiers, the full browser user-agent string, URL queries and fragments, and raw error messages before sending these reports. We do not enable session replay or collect media, filenames, transcript text, translations, form contents or console logs through the monitoring service. The monitoring provider may receive network information needed to deliver reports; its own privacy and data-processing policies apply.

Retention and sharing

The analytics service is currently configured to retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months. Aggregated reports and service or security data may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or under provider settings and policies.

We may share data with providers that operate QuietTake, comply with law or legal process, enforce our terms, protect users or the service, or support a merger, financing, acquisition or transfer of the service. Our service providers may operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country.

Your choices and requests

Open “Privacy settings” in the footer to enable or disable analytics at any time. Disabling analytics stops new browser reports and removes analytics cookies accessible to this site; reports already sent cannot be recalled. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics does not stop local-processing tools from working.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection by contacting us. QuietTake has no user accounts, and pseudonymous analytics records may not be identifiable as yours without sufficient information.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect data, but no browser, network transmission, provider or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this page

We may update this policy as QuietTake, our providers or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
